These digital flex bands have the possibility to control each LED as a pixel individually. A special driver is responsible for this. In this ribbon, RGB chips and additional warm white chips are built into a 4in1 LED. The animation can be created comfortably by software. This results in a wide range of possibilities.

LED strips with SK6812 LEDs have the driver IC already integrated in the LED and are therefore very inexpensive. The pixel density of this variant is 30 LEDs/m. They are operated with 5V.

  • LED flexstrip equipped with 30 RGBW LEDs per meter

range extender 5V for digital LED installations
When using digital LED-stripes you can usually realise cable lengths of up to 2m, since the high-frequency signal is quickly distorted and wrong colors are displayed or flickering occurs. This range-extender allows for cable lengths of up to 50m.  You need a sender PCB at the controller and a receiver PCB at the led-stripe. The mode (sender/receiver) can be set through a solder-jumper.   Technical background: The signal for digital LED-stripes is relatively low-power but high-frequency. Much data needs to be sent in a short period of time, which is no problem for small installation with short cable-lengths. But with longer cables (over 2m) especially RF-waves, power lines and other electrical devices in the vicinity can cause disturbances relatively quickly. This range extender eliminates this problem by converting to a symmetrical signal (similar to DMX-signales). Instead of sending the signal on one line, it is transmitted on two lines. One line carries the normal signal, the other is inverted. The relevant information can be read by the difference between the two lines. Since disturbances always influence both lines equally, the information can still be read by the difference between the two lines. At the end of the cable the signal is converted back to the normal format for digital LED-stripes. You always need two range-extenders, one at the bedinning and one at the end of the data-line.

range extender 12V for digital LED installations - receiver only
When using digital LED stripes you can usually realize cable lengths of up to 2m, since the high-frequency signal is quickly distorted and wrong colors are displayed or flickering occurs. This range extender allows for cable lengths of up to 50m.  You need a sender PCB at the controller and a receiver PCB at the LED stripe. The mode (sender/receiver) can be set through a solder jumper. Because the 12V range extender produces heat in transmitter mode, it should only be used in receiver mode! Artnet LED Pixel driver for up to 5,440 pixels
The drivers for digital LED strips are specially designed to control as many RGB pixels as possible individually. With the LK63, up to 5,440 pixels are possible, divided into 16 channels (340 RGB pixels each). This corresponds to a total of 32 DMX universes, which are transmitted via LAN/ArtNet. The 16 outputs can be loaded with max. 3 amps per channel. The driver can be controlled via ArtNet and offers 2 additional DMX ports with 512 channels on the output side. For configuration, the driver has an integrated web interface. Technical data: Item no. SP108E LED Pixel Controller with App control
The SP108 can drive up to 2,048 pixels and many different pixel types: WS2801, WS2811, WS2812, SK6812, APA102 and many more. The suitable app "LED Shop" is available for free for IOS and Android and offers 180 different chase effects as well as precisely adjustable single colors. Speed and brightness can be changed at any time. A handy feature is that you can choose your favorites from the 180 effects and then quickly select them. Setting up the driver is quite intuitive and done in a few minutes. The driver works in the 2.4 GHz WLAN and can be accessed directly via the smartphone as well as integrated into the home WLAN. Screenshots of the App: The scope of delivery includes: 1 x LED driver SP108E 1 x 3-pin connection cable for LED strips 1 x mini screwdriver Supported LED types: WS2801, WS2811, WS2812 SK6812, SK6812_RGBW, SK9822 APA102, APA105 TM1804, TM1814, TM1913, TM1914, TX1812, TX1813 LPD6803, LPD8806  P9813, P943S, P9411, P9412, P9413, P9414 GS8206, GS8208 SM16703, UCS1903, INK1003, DMX512 FAQ: Does the driver require an existing WLAN? No, the driver can also be controlled directly with the smartphone (AP mode) and offers its own WLAN access point ("SP108E_xxx") for this purpose. If a WLAN is available, the driver can alternatively be integrated into it (STA mode), so that the WLAN does not always have to be changed to operate the driver. Can multiple drivers be used simultaneously in the app? Yes, the app can manage multiple drivers at the same time. You can switch between the drivers and change the settings for each. In addition, the individual drivers can be switched on and off directly. However, there is no direct synchronization and each driver must be set accordingly for itself.  Does the app have to be active for the animations to run? No. The app is only needed for the setup. You can close the app afterwards and also turn off the smartphone, for example. The SP108 will continue to play effects. Does the driver keep its settings when it no longer receives power? Yes, the driver can simply be disconnected from the mains. When power is applied again, it will start with the previously set animation. All settings will be kept. How can the white LEDs be used, e.g. with a SK6812_RGBW? The app has a separate control for white LEDs (e.g. for SK6812_RGBW pixel strips). This can be used to set the proportion of white LEDs and then, in the case of effects, the white LEDs are taken into account accordingly, so that the colors are generally desaturated. In the effects section of the app, the SOLID setting can then also be used to activate a permanently white, high-quality light, e.g. for lighting tasks, if required. Can the SP108 also control LED matrices? A number of pixels and a number of segments can be set in the setup. For example, for an 8 x 8 matrix then 8 pixels and 8 segments. This is taken into account in the effects, but in most matrices the pixels are connected in a snake shape as a long line and this is unfortunately not taken into account by the SP108. Therefore the effects are not displayed as desired on the matrix, but every 2nd row of the matrix shows the effect quasi upside down. We hope for a technical improvement here soon.
