SEDU Driver

The SEDU board in version 3 is a universal digital LED driver mainly for WS2801, WS2811/12, APA101/102/104 and TM18xx ICs. It can be supplied with data online via USB (WLAN) as well as offline via SD card.

A firmware unifies the functionality completely. The functions can be set with a setup tool and selected by rotary switch. This makes the SEDU board suitable as an ambient light system like the SEDU lights v2 and DMX functionality is also available. Of course the firmware can do much more...

SEDU Board Decoder "DMX to WS2801

The SEDU board is a universal board for various tasks. It has a USB port and a DMX transceiver IC. The power supply can be done via USB as well as externally. In this variant an external power supply of 7-24V is set. Attention: This board is not suitable for the Ambient Light System! For an Ambilight, please select this item. This version of the SEDU board represents a special application. The installed firmware accepts data in DMX format (510 channels) via the DMX port and outputs them in WS2801 or TM1804 format. These are common digital strips that can be connected directly. The SEDU-DMX can convert up to 170 RGB channels (about one DMX universe). SEDUv3 variant: with WLAN

The SEDUv3 is a universal driver for digital LED pixels. It can be used to control an ambient light system as well as for an LED matrix. In contrast to the SEDUv2 additional pixels like the WS2811/12 or MY9221 are supported. The firmware is still being extended to support even more pixel types. In addition, it is possible to choose between different input protocols within one firmware. Supported are: miniDMX tpm2 DMX (future) tpm2.net / Artnet in connection with WLAN Up to 3000 pixels WS2801 and 1024 pixels WS2811/12 are supported. With a µSD card created sequences can be played back offline. You can switch between the programs with a button (in the future also via IR remote control). SEDU-Lights-Board V2

The SEDU board with a firmware for an ambient light system is now called SEDU-Lights. The SEDU board is a universal board for various tasks. It can be equipped with an ATmega16 or compatible processors. Version 2 is equipped with the ATmega644p. It has a USB port and a DMX transceiver IC. USB and DMX can only be used separately with an ATMega16. The board has four fully external ports. Power can be supplied via USB as well as externally. The Lights version of the SEDU board is a special application. The installed firmware accepts data in miniDMX format via the USB port and outputs it in WS2801 or TM1804 format. These are common digital strips that can be connected directly. The SEDU-Lights version 2 can handle up to 256 channels (firmware 3.0 or higher). The SEDU works only with a PC software, which transfers the data processed via miniDMX to the SEDU board. The software is not part of the delivery.
