The KNX bus system allows you to realize extensive installations in which sensors (e.g. for temperature, rain, light, window/alarm contacts, control for LED lighting, blinds, motion detectors, etc.) can be combined very flexibly with actuators (e.g. controllers for LED lighting, blind controls, load relays, etc.).
The individual components can be dynamically configured by the ETS software, so that complex sequences can be realized, for example:- opening/closing of blinds depending on rain/wind/brightness/time of day.
- switching on/off of lighting on movement/presence, time-controlled, via wall controls
- special lighting like TV simulation/alarm lighting
Below you will find our range of KNX components.
LED controllers
Depending on the model, these controllers can be used universally for 12-24V LED lighting with up to four white zones, lighting with adjustable color temperature (CCT) with up to two zones, or color control (RGB/RGBW). They support absolute and relative dimming (in HSV and RGB color space), with adjustable gamma curve. Likewise, they support many convenient functions such as
- automatic dim2warm color temperature control
- dynamic daylight control HCL (biologically effective light)
- automatic time-dependent dimming
- day/night function
- dimming via PWM (600/1.000 Hz settable)
In addition, internal overcurrent and temperature monitoring is built in, as well as an intelligent 16A/230V AC load relay output for switching the external LED power supply.
The controllers work with the KNX interface TP-256 and can be parameterized via ETS4, 5 and 6.
- 2x3A, parallel operation possible
- for 2x white or 1x CCT
- 3x3A, parallel operation A/B possible
- switchable load distribution: 2x2,25A + 1x4,5A
- for 3x white, 1x CCT or RGB
- 4x3A, parallel operation A/B and C/D possible
- switchable load distribution: 2x3,25A + 1x5,25A
- for 4x white, 2x CCT, RGB or RGBW
LED controllers for DIN rail
The controllers for DIN rail mounting can be used universally for 12-24V LED lighting with up to four white zones, lighting with adjustable color temperature (CCT) with up to two zones or color control (RGB/RGBW). They have the functions listed above (except relay output 16A@230V on the 4x2A controller).
Since the distance between LED strips and controllers should always be as short as possible in 12-24V installations, we recommend using the DIN rail controllers only in commercial/industrial applications.
- 4x2A / 1x3,5A+3x1,5A / 2x4A
- for 4x white, 2xCCT, RGB or RGBW
- 2DU
- no relay output 16A@230V
- 4x4A / 1x7A+3x3A / 2x8A
- for 4x white, 2xCCT, RGB or RGBW
- 4DU
- relay output 16A@230V
mains controllers for DIN rail
This controller can be used to switch on and off 230V devices with up to 20A. Thus, for example, the power supplies of your LED lighting can be switched centrally or staircase lighting can be realized. It also supports many convenient functions such as:
- NC or NO working mode settable
- load measurment from 10mA to 20A
- operating hours counter
- callback-function (active/passive) for all channels

wall-mount pushbutton controls
These controls can be flexibly configured to control e.g. blinds, heating, alarm modes or lighting (on/off, dimming, CCT, color). Each control can distinguish between short and long press (2 different KNX objects) and has status LEDs, so that the execution of control commands or the status of KNX elements can be tracked.
The controlls also have a temperature sensor that can report the room temperature from 0 to 40°C via a KNX object. Furthermore, no external power supply is required - power is provided via the KNX bus.
- fits standard 55mm switch lines i.e.: GIRA Standard 55, E2, E22, Event, Esprit, BERKER S1, B3, B7, JUNG A500, Aplus, Acreation, AS500, MERTEN 1M, M-Smart, M-Plan, M-Pure (55x55x25mm)
- usable as 2x double- or 4x single pusbutton with four logic blocks
- RGBW status LEDs
- OLED display with 6 different values and freely configurable symbols/texts
- 1x6, 2x6 or 2x4 functions on 1 or 2 levels
- 86x86x29,2mm
- RGBW status LEDs
- OLED display with 6 different values and freely configurable symbols/texts
- 1x6, 2x6 or 2x4 functions on 1 or 2 levels
- 92x92x29,2mm
- RGBW status LEDs
- glass housing
base components
To commission a KNX installation and configure the components you will need:
- (at least) one KNX-PSU, to supply the power for the KNX bus
- one KNX/IP interface, in order to configure the components with the ETS software
- KNX bus terminas (optional, included in almost all KNx products)
sensors
Sensors allow you to switch your KNX actuators depending on the environment. Thus, for example, the light can be switched on when there is presence in the room, the blinds can be closed when it rains or the heating can be switched on until the set temperature is reached.
