Aluminium profiles
Aluminum profiles, also called LED bars or LED profiles, are an ideal and often even necessary addition to your LED installation.
- They are made of anodized aluminum that dissipates the heat loss of the LEDs and thus ensures a long service life of the LEDs.
- Covers (transparent or milky opal) are available for all profiles to protect the LEDs. This also allows the installation to be wiped clean.
- If the LED installation is in the visible area, it is visually enhanced by a profile. You get an elegant, slim LED luminaire.
- Surface-mounted profiles in U-shape for mounting on suspensions, coving, furniture, etc.
- Insert profiles for mounting in (milled) grooves or between 2 panels
- Angle or corner profiles for slanting the LED strips
- Drywall profiles for mounting on or in plasterboard, etc.

IPA can be mounted directly on edges of plasterboard and other panels, thus forming a light cove and possibly also have space for power supplies and controllers. In the simplest case, a simple ceiling suspension with wooden slats and plasterboard mounted on them, onto which the IPA profiles are then plugged, is sufficient. Our cove lighting profile offers the ideal solution for sophisticated, indirect ceiling lighting. It is positioned on the front edge of the plasterboard cove and then filled to ensure seamless integration into the ceiling structure. The 45° angled alignment of the LEDs creates a harmoniously wide, soft light effect, while the front visible edge prevents the light source from being directly visible and causing glare.
A decisive factor for the lighting result is the opal cover of the LEDs. It not only protects against dust and dirt, but also ensures pleasant light distribution. The milky appearance of the opal cover mixes the hard LED light, resulting in uniform, soft illumination of the ceiling. Without this cover, the front visible edge creates a hard shadow on the ceiling, which detracts from the overall appearance. In addition, the cover visually compensates for minor irregularities - such as slight waves when gluing in the LED strip.
For applications where maximum brightness is the top priority, a transparent cover with 85 % light transmission can be used as an alternative. However, this should only be used in exceptional cases, as the softer, more aesthetic lighting effect is reduced.
We recommend a pressure roller for gluing and lightly pressing on the LED strips.

The B12 floor profile is suitable for installing LED light lines in the floor. Thanks to its sturdy construction and 1.5 mm thick opal cover, it is tread-resistant and can also be rolled over. Mounting
This profile system has large-area wings (20mm wide) that can be filled with tile adhesive and thus integrated as the outside corner of a tile mirror. The tiles are glued to the wings.
The self-adhesive LED strip is glued into the LED profile. For excellent adhesion of the self-adhesive LED strip, we recommend thorough cleaning and degreasing of the inside of the profile with a cleaner such as isopropanol or extraction petrol.
After the profile cover has been clicked flush into the profile, the open ends are sealed with silicone. Then the LED profile is filled with tile adhesive to the building structure and finally connected to the LED lighting and control technology (power supply unit / controller).
The LED profile covers (opal/satin - light transmittance 65 % | transparent : light transmittance 85 %) are made of unbreakable and hardly combustible polycarbonate (classification flammability UL94V-2) and close flush.
Moisture protection
Use in wet rooms or outdoors is only possible in sealed form. Special protection against moisture and water is provided by silicone, which is applied to the joints for sealing. Absolute watertightness is achieved with LED profile systems by casting with Wepuran casting resin based on polyurethane resin (PUR).

The SP01 LED tensioning system allows LED light lines to be freely positioned in the room. This is made possible by 2 wall brackets, between which a 15 mm wide steel strip is stretched. This steel strip can then accommodate an LED strip and shine freely into the room, onto the ceiling or the wall. Direct and indirect lighting solutions with comparatively little installation effort are thus possible. Thanks to the ball joint in the wall brackets, angled lines with angles of 0 - 90° are also possible. The video in the video tab shows many examples. For installation, the supply cable for the LED strip is fed through the wall bracket, then the bracket is screwed on and tensioned. The LED strip is then fully bonded to the steel strip. Hint:
Make sure that the width of the aluminum profile fits the selected LED strip. For example, there are aluminum profiles that can only accommodate strips up to 10mm wide. Wider strips, such as RGBW LED strips with 12mm band can not be installed in these narrow profiles. In this case, choose a profile with a larger width. A milky opal cover diffuses the light of the LEDs so that you notice individual LED dots less or not at all. However, the milky opal cover also swallows some light. Calculate with 30-50% light loss. Alternatively, you can choose a transparent cover for many aluminum profiles. This swallows little light (max. 10%) and still offers effective protection, e.g. when wiping the LED installation. With indirect lighting, the light of the individual LEDs usually mixes after 5cm at the latest. Therefore, a transparent cover is usually sufficient here for a uniform light impression without LED hotspots.Topic: LED strips
