ZigBee remote with 4 pushbuttons (without battery)
ZigBee remote with 4 freely assignable buttons. The function of the individual buttons can be set in the ZigBee app (PHILIPS HUE). A distinction is also made between long and short presses.
For example, the 2 left buttons can switch the light on and off with a short press and dim up and down with a long press. The 2 right buttons can then be assigned individual light scenes and color moods.
The pushbutton has an absolutely flat design and can be simply glued to the wall, for example. The button works without battery through energy harvesting.
Model without battery
The special feature of the G2w version is that it works without a battery and instead draws the little energy it needs from pressing the buttons themselves. So-called energy harvesting, known especially from the EnOcean products. Mini dynamos are installed under the buttons, which generate the necessary energy for the ZigBee radio transmission from the movement of the buttons when pressed. Due to the mini dynamos, the buttons are much more sluggish than those of normal buttons with battery (like LK115-K2w). That is the small disadvantage. But in return, you never have to change a battery again.
