For this purpose, powerful RGB LEDs (type 5050) were combined with the highest quality warm white LEDs (type 5630) in 3,000K with an excellent color quality of CRI95+. A common application for the RGB+WW LED strip is the indirect lighting of entire rooms. At 1,000 lm/m, the warm white LEDs are bright enough to illuminate an entire room. No additional luminaires are needed for this. Color temperature adjustment by means of RGBW LED strips The white LEDs on the ribbon have a color temperature of approx. 3,000K warm white. At full brightness of the white LEDs, a color temperature range of 2,700K - 5,000K (daylight white) can be set by mixing in the color LEDs. By slightly dimming the white LEDs, even 2,500 - 6,000K is possible. While typical CCT LED strips only start at 2,700 or 3,000 Kelvin, extra warm LEDs with only 2,200 Kelvin are installed here. This warm white corresponds in color tone (not in brightness!) to a dimmed incandescent light and is therefore intended for particularly comfortable lighting moods. Alternately, neutral white LEDs with 4,000 Kelvin are installed next to each extra warm white LED. This means that any color temperature can be set between a deep warm white 2,200K, through the typical 2,700 and 3,000K to the neutral, elegant 4,000K. Thus, the LED strips are always equally bright, no matter which color temperature is set and also the power consumption remains constant at only about 10W/m. Yes. COB-LED-Strips can be laid, cut and connected just as flexibly as normal LED-Strips. The solder contacts for connecting cables are also exposed. What is the height of the COB LED-Strips? Only 1.5mm. COB LED-Strips are not significantly higher than normal LED strips and therefore fit, for example, in all standard aluminum profiles. The IP67 versions have the typical height of 4mm due to the surrounding silicone tube. Does the phosphor coating reduce the lifetime of the LEDs? No. COB technology has been used for many years in numerous high-power LED modules (up to 100 Watt output), where the temperature input into the phosphor coating is immensely high. There is no known reduction in lifetime here. Are COB-LED-Stips water-protected, e.g. suitable for outdoor use? For this purpose, choose the variants with IP67 water protection.
