Product number: LK146-1
Available stock: 100

This inline LED dimmer can be easily connected between the power supply unit and LED strips and allows convenient dimming via a rotary potentiometer. In the end position, the LEDs are completely switched off.

The dimmer can control LED components such as LED strips from 12 - 48V. It also allows dimming of the new 48V LED strips for particularly long installation lengths.

The PWM frequency can be set in 4 steps between 500Hz, 2KHz, 8 KHz and 16 KHz via DIP switches. With 8 and especially 16 KHz, the dimmer is also ideally suited for flicker-free video recordings, for example. A further DIP switch allows you to switch between linear and logarithmic (gamma 1.6) dimming behavior.

Depending on the choice of PWM frequency and voltage range, the controller can process different currents between 8A (16KHz PWM, 48V) and 20A (500Hz PWM, 24V). More detailed information can be found directly on the housing.

A small display shows the set dim value. This can also be used to set the fade on/off time to 0.5 or 3s. If required, an additional RF remote control (see recommended accessories) can be linked to the dimmer.

Suitable 48V LED strips

New: 48V LED strips for particularly long installations
48V enable particularly long LED lines20m with feed on one side40m with feed on both sides Brightness: 800 lm/m Color rendering: High CRI>90 Power: 8 Watt/mWidth: 10mmDivisible every 1.67cm 48V LED stripsLED strips with a 48V design enable particularly long LED lines as the typical voltage and brightness drop is significantly reduced. Lengths of up to 20m are possible with a single-sided voltage supply. If fed in on both sides (or in the middle), a total length of 40m is even possible.Another advantage of this LED strip is its very narrow pitch of just 1.67 cm. This means that the LED line can be adapted to almost any situation. With 120 LEDs/m, the LED density is sufficiently high so that many aluminum profiles (from 10 mm installation depth) can be used for a perfectly homogeneous light line without spot formation. With CRI>90, the LED strip also achieves excellent color quality, even for demanding requirements.48V LED strips are the perfect solution for all installations where parallel cable routing is difficult or impossible. Typical examples areLong LED lines in corridors, stairwells, etc.Façade lighting (observe IP protection)Indirect lighting with very filigree light coves / stucco moldings Available variants By the meter IP20, connection cable optional All versions have a 3M adhesive tape on the back for mounting, can be split at any point and are available in various color temperatures (e.g. 3,000K warm white). Notes on accessories: A 48V power supply unit with at least 160 watts is required to operate 20m LED strips. 20m x 8W/m = 160 watts. A controller with at least 3.4 amps is required to control the brightness of the 20m. 160W / 48V = 3.4 amps. Frequently asked questions:   Is it safe to install 48V LED strips? Yes. Just like 24V or 12V, 48V belongs to the low voltage range and can be installed by anyone.   Are there any disadvantages of 48V LED strips compared to the familiar 24V LED strips? There is currently still a very limited selection of LED strips and LED controllers in the 48V range. This means that you have to make do with a few options for control.   Are 48V LED strips particularly efficient and generate less heat than 24V LED strips, for example? No. The efficiency and heat development are comparable. We therefore also recommend aluminum profiles for heat dissipation of the LEDs for 48V LED strips.    Further answers to frequently asked questions about LED strips can be found in our FAQ.
